MY STORIES

They say everyone has a novel in them. And I have written mine! On this page, you can find links to some of my stories for you to enjoy. Keep checking back as I intend on putting some writing prompts I have done in the past.

The Perambulations of Mr Jeremy Pentwistle Esq.

My first full-length novel. A young, rich, womanising fool who lives at some point in the mid 1800's accidentally sends himself back in time. Click to find out more

The Blank Page

This is a short story I wrote for a competition run by the writing group in Manchester I used to attend. The remit of the competition was that it had to feature a typewriter... Somehow... I won the competition and a delightful 105 year old typewriter!

Náttúruhamfarir

Another short story written for a different competition, also run by the writing group. This time, the theme was FESTIVAL SPIRIT and once again I won the competition with my story set against the bleak and beautiful backdrop of Iceland (the country, not the supermarket). Thanks given to Bessi Jónsson of Moonwalker for his help with the Icelandic words.

Born in Winter

This is a short story I wrote for an anthology I have written for alongside other aspiring writers at my place of work. The theme was WINTER and my story tells of a bleak, uncompromisingly harsh, yet worryingly familiar world where winter doesn't end.
